Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (HMCL), the largest two wheeler manufacturer in the country recently launched the all new Splendor iSmart 110 which is the first motorcycle to be developed completely in-house with Hero’s own technology.
Built on a completely new chassis the bike gets an all-new ‘Torque on Demand’ single cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke 110cc engine that is tuned to produce 9.4 PS of power and 9 Nm of max torque at 5,500 rpm. This new engine is the only BS-IV compliant engine in the commuter segment. Apart from the newer engine the bike features Hero’s intuitive i3S (Idle stop-start system) technology that maintains the balance of fuel efficiency and the power delivered by the engine to the vehicle as a result the bike offers a fuel efficiency of more that 68km/l.
The new Splendor iSmart rides on a completely new frame, that as stated by Hero has improved durability, enhanced agility and provides a comfortable riding experience. The new double cradle design of the chassis provides lower centre of gravity and better front-rear balancing. As far as the design language of the bike goes, this bike carries the same legacy as Hero’s all other motorcycles but with an upgraded look. The longer seat offers more space, and the new Analog Digital speedo with service indicator offers superior functional utility. In addition, the Splendor iSmart 110 also gets Automatic Headlamp Feature which is the first in its segment.
The bike is available in four colour palettes which include Silver &Black, Red &Black, Blue &Black and Sports Red. The bike is priced at Rs.53,300 (Ex-Showroom Delhi) and with the launch of this new bike Hero is hoping to continue its domination in the commuter segment of the country.
