Chase vs. Regular: Auto World Release 5 1966 Chevy Impala SS!

Chase vs. regular is a fun series of posts. If you haven't checked it out yet, you should take a look at the previous posts in the series here. This series will continue to evolve and feature chase pieces from multiple brands. Super Treasure Hunts, Ultra Reds and Green Machines will all be staples of the chase vs. regular series of posts.

Today is all about Auto World. I can't get enough Auto World lately. This Impala SS pair comes from Release 5, Version C. The 5C version hit stores in early December, making it a fairly recent release. The regular and chase versions feature different colored paint, but are otherwise identical. Auto World's '66 Impala looks so good in light blue that it's difficult to beat, even in Ultra Red-red. Oftentimes I prefer the Ultra Red to the standard release, but this Impala is the rare exception. The blue color is so era-appropriate it makes me take a second look every time. It reminds me of the TV show Mad Men. It screams 1960s.

The Ultra Red, like all Ultra Reds is also a seriously eye-catching piece. Replete with the Auto World touchstones we take for granted, like detailed everything, metal bases, accurate tire size and width and opening hoods, these 1966 Chevy Impalas from Premium Release 5C are a treat to behold! Enjoy...

Happy Collecting!!
