Variation Alert: Greenlight Club V-Dub Series 4 Gulf Racing VW Beetle

If you haven't already picked up on it, I'm going to throw this out there. There seems to be a wheel variation of the Gulf Racing-themed Greenlight Club V-Dub Series 4 Volkswagen Beetle. I first found this car at Wal-Mart in Canada, and it featured silver hub-caps. When my Green Machine arrived from eBay, it featured black spoked wheels instead. I chocked it up to a discrepancy between the Green Machine and the Regular Edition.

Fast forward a couple weeks and I saw the regular release with the black-spoked rims at a local hobby shop. The owner said the black rims were hobby-only. However, the only place I've seen the silver-hubbed versions are at Canadian Wal-Marts. Any further information on the silver-hubbed versions being spotted elsewhere is appreciated. For now, check out the pics and live with having to hunt down yet another Gulf Racing release...

Racing Champions Mint 1980 Ford Bronco: 2017 Release 1 Versions C and D Impress!

Auto World might be the best thing in 1/64 scale diecast right now, but Racing Champions Mint, another Round 2 brand, is nothing to sneeze at either. While I laud the perfect scale of the Round-2 designed Auto World castings, Round 2 has also revived some older Racing Champions Mint castings in fine fashion.

The 1980 Ford Broncos of 2017 Release 1 are a prime example of the quality Round 2 passes along in the Racing Champions Mint line. It's difficult to fathom that these release C and D Broncos are the same casting Ertl used when it owned the brand. The bumper to bumper details, engine bay and accurate liveries are super high quality. Plus, when is a Ford Bronco ever not cool?

I'll let the pictures say the rest. Enjoy...
